Back in 2023, UCAS commissioned Project Next Generation to collate information on the different stages students go through to gather information on possible careers and subjects to study. This project went on to inform four different reports – one of which is linked above covering how and when relevant information and guidance can help inform student choices.
University Keep Warm Campaigns
From the moment your university is chosen as one of the five UCAS options - assuming an offer is made - the race is on to be one of the student’s top two choices. The goal is to be chosen as either the firm or the insurance offer and in the popularity contest that ensues, being proactive and making the student feel special is (I think) part of an arsenal of important tactics.
What do non RG universities do better than RG universities?
Russell Group (RG) and other prestigious universities often have pretty straight forward selling points: world-class teaching and research, high employment rates for graduates, heritage, exclusivity, the list goes on. But, what about those lower tier universities? What should they focus on?
